Oregon Lane Filtering Law
Currently, Lane Filtering is not legal in Oregon. On May 26, 2021, Governor Kate Brown vetoed SB 574, a bipartisan piece of legislation that would have made lane filtering legal in Oregon. The bill as written allowed lane filtering under specific circumstance, so it is unfortunate that it wasn't signed into law at the time. on March 2, 2023, the Oregon Legislative Assembly's Senate Committee on Judiciary held a public hearing regarding Senate Bill 422, which once again seeks to legalize lane filtering in the state of Oregon. As of March 13, 2023, SB 574's next scheduled activity is a working session in that committee later in the month.
Lane filtering in Oregon remains illegal as of March 2023.
